Had a Boom 2 for years it was awesome and still sounds great. Gave it to my daughter. Replaced it with MegaBoom 4. Sound was terrible, bass especially. Sent back same day. Their quality has definitely taken a dive. Bought JBL Charge 6. The sound difference is night and day.

Looking for a couple of speakers for my retirement plan of living in different cities. Our first place is a two-floor condo.
I see that JBL has Auracast. Does anyone have a couple of speakers they've linked? What about indoors? I'm thinking a speaker each for upstairs / downstairs.
Please share your experience.

I've had a JBL Flip for several years, and we were gifted a significantly more expensive Turtlebox Ranger. I've never really replaced the JBL Flip in the garage and the Turtlebox is still sitting on my office desk. Not that it isn't nice, but the JBL does everything it needs to do.

Had a JBL flip 5 for almost 10 years. Battery was starting to fin only lasting about an hour. Wife bought me a turtle box ranger for Father’s Day.
The JBL was a great product
We’ll have to see how long the turtle box lasts.

I got the Altec Lansing with the magnet for around a hundred. Charges and not near the cost of Turtle.

Any JBL above 5th Gen will allow you to play multiple JBL 5th Gen or above in sync so it’s awesome for parties or tailgates or stuff.
JBL Flips are awesome portable and fairly indestructible.
JBL Boombox has amazing sound and loudness that I think surpasses Turtlebox in outdoor settings.

Are Tribit's any good? Someone mentioned them earlier.
Might have been me. I have two, the xSound Go and the Mega. The battery life is awesome and they sound great for the money. We also have a JBL Charge 5 so I know both and the Tribit, while perhaps not as good or as much bass, provides really good value for the money.
One small critique on the Charge 5, the bottom is too rounded so it tends to roll off things or roll over if bumped.

Marshall is in that range
Cannot recommend the Marshall Bluetooth speakers enough. Got a couple of them in varying sizes around the house. The bigger ones pump out some sound and bass. They look great too.
Though the ones I've bought have all been $200+

Wife’s uncle bought 4 jbl flips and some mounting brackets for his back yard. Hung them all up and synced them together. Pretty cost effective wireless speaker system.

I don't know if you like to golf, but I really like my Bluetees Speaker. It's like $159.99 tho.

I've had JBL for a long time. I even have the waterproof JBL. My son was gifted a turtle box standard and ranger. Turtle box is great but sorta like Yeti, it comes with a higher price tag (and their customer service is top notch, his ranger blew and they replaced it in 2 days), but its hard to beat any JBL for the price.

The Bose Soundlink Flex (2nd gen) is available for under $100 bucks now. I love mine. It's water proof, durable, and sounds great for the price and size.

I had one of those for years and loved it. Sound was awesome for such a small speaker. Replaced it after 10+ years when it quit charging, with the smaller even more portable and waterproof Bose Sound Flex 2nd gen. and love it. Sounds admittedly not as good but it was half the price and still sounds great.

We have a Bose Soundlink Revolve that we’ve had for 9 or 10 years, and it still works great.
