The civilians responded by burning down some franchisee's Wendy's that was one of the few decent businesses in a shithole part of town

Ahhh, so that's what defund the police means.

Neat.

We just massively expanded the medical program.

Wow what amazing news! Now it is getting lobbed into the police reform bills in Congress! Huzzah for common sense!!

We are way passed that point. We’ve taken abuse, active aggression, and the most extreme levels of disrespect for the past 3 weeks.

A lesson will be learned during the next few days. Sit and down and pay attention son. You are about to finally grow up.

Earlier suggestions that multiple officers from each zone had walked off the job were inaccurate. The department is experiencing a higher than usual number of call outs with the incoming shift. We have enough resources to maintain operations & remain able to respond to incidents.

Just a though but...

The incident in Minneapolis sparked all this off. It’s caused riots, protest, and marches all over the country. Small rural departments that have a good working relationship with the public have now been strained due to the media. I know for a fact that officers have found themselves being shunned by the same people they say next to in church

So what if every department walked out, the same way every community marched and spoke out against their local officers.

I wonder how that would be perceived. Would it create more division, or would it wake the community up from the poisonous liberal blanket they are under.

I can live stream from my house but hopefully it'll be boring as shite

We did have gunshots last night, and the cops were quick to get here. Guessing could be a different story tonight...

Your handle is the biggest oxymoron I've seen on the internet in a long time.

And frick you. Come make me sit down and pay attention

eTA: and can I just say to you: thank you for proving my point.

Instead of doing something to earn my respect, you try to cause fear.

Oh boo hoo ... now you’re worried about innocent people?

Where was that same energy when police and virtually anyone with white skin was demonized as a whole as evil over the last four weeks? Statistics and facts didn’t mean anything then. It was all about false narratives and lying about reality.

You say “frick the police” and “defund the police” and whatever other nonsensical, bullshite talking points that have been repeated, okay well here you go. Kudos to these officers for standing up against this garbage.

Atlanta police union says they stopped answering calls mid shift today, APD says there are no walkoffs... Sorry but I believe the union.

They could not possibly have been more respectful to Brooks right up until the point he decided to resist fight and run away

So do soldiers in warzones, for that matter.

Why do you strive to prove what a moron you are by uttering your opinions on topics you know nothing about? Soldiers in war zones have ROE that can be quickly escalated when it comes to a given threat. Strict guidelines? You might want to speak to some of my fellow NCO's on what that really means, vastly different than the concept inside your armchair QB arse.
