Blue collar guys and gas stations?

What attracts these guys to gas station food or snacks? It’s quicker, cheaper, and healthier to pop into HEB and grab something, yet it’s like some badge of honor for the F250 and work truck guys to stop every morning at the gas station and buy junk.
Sitting here at the pump and observing them throw money away. Most aren’t even getting gas…just an overpriced soft drink and honey bun. What gives plant bros?
You don’t see anyone dressed in business casual going inside to buy stuff. Just curious as to the divide.

They are probably running late to the job site.

It’s quicker
Not quicker to pop into a grocery store. I assume these blue collar guys, be it a refinery worker or some dude who works on houses, are putting more mileage on their trucks, thus getting gas frequently, and then decide to grab some shite from inside.

I can to pop into HEB, grab a protein shake, self check out, and done in seconds vs waiting behind someone choosing their lotto tickets, walking the cashier through the cigarette or snuff selection, or trying to pay cash and find exact change, etc.

-they are late
-they slept about 4 hours
-they are hung over
-they need to buy fuel a lot. When they dont need fuel, they stop there anyway.
The average chemical plant contractor is a creature of habit.

Lot of hurt feelings in here.

Some guys like pizza, egg rolls, crispitos and iced honey buns. Cant get those beauties on the fly just anywhere. That's just enough to tide them over during the 14 mile commute.

Don’t you think it’s kind of a low IQ, low impulse control, self-medicating thing?

Because Ruth’s Chris isn’t open at this hour

this phenomenon is almost as fascinating as to why the TD mods allow you to create threads on this website.

I'm curious too. Hope we get some good answers.

Blue collar workers tend to start a lot earlier, and are often hourly workers. Your white collar workers are typically salary and dont report to work until 8-9am, leaving more time to make coffee and breakfast at home.

No honey bun. Not good. Don't throw shade on the drink. Some people like Starbucks coffee, some like a Circle K Diet Coke.

Low IQ. Unable to utilize critical thinking. Lack of foresight. Financial morons.
One would think that with all the money they claim to make, and literally working out all day, they'd be ripped and wealthy..But between the gas station diet, beer and meth, there's your answer.
