Blue Bayou looking to hire 700 people by late May reopening

Everywhere is hiring. How the hell do they think they will be able to hire 700 near minimum wage workers when you can make more sitting on your arse?

Not even minimum wage, it’s 50% minimum wage because it’s seasonal. They give a bonus at end of summer if you stay entire summer.

Those 700 employees are kids (lifeguards, food, etc). They have no maintenance skills. The maintenance crew is about 20, that work year round, and most of those are just laborers.

They won’t come close to half of that number. There is a gluttony of open skilled and unskilled labor jobs available right now for much better pay

I never went to Blue Bayou when I lived in BR but I assume it’s twice as disgusting as I imagine

Seasonal pay. Very legal, shitty, but legal.
And from what I understand, to get the bonus, you gotta work to the end of the season, and you can only miss a certain amount of days. So if you go on a week+ family vacation, you are screwed.
