Time to set the record straight once and for all.
Blake's legal team made the rounds after the settlement to assure us that it wasn't just a win, but an "astounding victory." But calling the outcome of her lawsuit a win, much like her deposition testimony, doesn't line up with the facts.
I don't understand what's wrong with "while this wasn't the result Ms. Lively was fighting for, she intends to recover legal fees and damages under 47.1 and will continue to use her voice to stand up for [INSERT HER CAUSE OF THE MOMENT]."
That statement is based (mostly) in reality. The alternative she's gone with is to twist her undeniable loses into a "victory" that everyone (aside from a handful of sympathizers) can see right through.
Legal Loses
\1. Zero dollars recovered from defendants in settlement
2. Tens of millions spent in legal fees
3. 10 of 13 claims dismissed, including all sexual harassment allegations
4. Justin, Jamie, and all individual defendants dismissed from the lawsuit before settlement
5. Settled two weeks before trial after publicly demanding her day in court
6. No appeal clause locks in Judge Liman's forthcoming 47.1 ruling regardless of outcome
7. Covert Vanzan lawsuit revealed publicly, exposing how she obtained text messages used in the CRD complaint and NYT article
8. Gag order request denied
9. Content creator subpoenas withdrawn
10. Claims against Jed Wallace dismissed twice, formally removing him from the New York case
Reputational Damage
11. Millions spent on crisis PR
12. Significantly worse public standing than before she filed
13. Virtually no support from celebrities and industry insiders
14. "Advocate for women" framing replaced by "cautionary Hollywood tale" label
15. "Astounding victory" spin mocked publicly
16. Overwhelmingly negative comments on all social videos, news articles, and posts
17. Adversarial media landscape with mostly negative headlines
18. Comment sections locked on both her and Ryan's IG accounts
19. Branding experts publicly calling her "tone-deaf"
20. Former Hollywood director on the record saying "Blake is persona non grata"
21. Disney Studios executive who worked with her saying "This lawsuit has ruined her in Hollywood"
Career Damage
22. Blake's own legal filings claimed $39.6M–$143.5M in business losses
23. Blake's lawyers projected $132M in lost earnings over the next five years
24. Hasn't acted since Another Simple Favor
25. No film currently shooting
26. All announced movie projects stalled
27. Producing credentials questioned after PGA letter unsealed
28. Cancelled hosting the first episode of SNL's 50th season (per CRD complaint and lawsuit)
Brand Damage
29. Betty Buzz quietly shut down in 2025 (per Blake's legal filings)
30. Blake Brown sales dropped 87% between August 11 and September 15, 2024
31. Blake Brown severely underperformed in 2025 and called "a non-conversation at Target"
32. Multiple corporate events for Blake Brown canceled
33. Betty Booze sales declined sharply
34. Retail partners like Kroger were "spooked" by the controversy and blamed Blake (per internal Betty Buzz documents)
35. Branding experts citing morality clauses as a risk for any remaining partnerships
Exposed Private Communications Damage
36. Her own texts and emails entered public record, including texts to Taylor Swift, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck
37. Ryan Reynolds' communications with WME agents, Sony, and others exposed
38. Sony executives privately calling her a "fricking terrorist" and "epic-level stupid"
39. Internal Sony assessment that she "orchestrated all this drama in a totally unsavvy and amateur way" that "backfired"
40. Cast and executive depositions in public record
41. Scott Swift (Taylor's father) reportedly turned over evidence of Lively's team's alleged extortion attempt
Relationship and Social Capital Damage
42. Taylor Swift friendship damaged
43. Gigi Hadid quietly distanced; Blake absent from Gigi's 30th birthday
44. Cara Delevingne reportedly no longer in contact
45. Sophie Turner reportedly no longer in contact
46. Travis Kelce reportedly distanced and unfollowed Ryan
47. Industry insiders on record advising her to "go quiet" and "spend time with family"
48. One producer publicly suggested she "do a villain role and lean into the baggage"
49. Hollywood Reporter openly asking who wants to work with her
50. Reports that Hollywood agents are "loath to work with litigious actresses who cause them to go over budget"
How is any of this a win?

I don’t know the details about any lawsuits involving Blake Lively. And I don’t want to know any more about her than I do.

Everyone who is in the know in Hollywood says Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively are 2 of the most insufferable people in the industry. There are lots of people in Hollywood celebrating their fall from grace.

Yet Ryan Reynolds will still hold her purse...

My parents spent my entire childhood raising me not to marry a woman like Blake Lively. I mean, I was taught this just as much as I was taught 2+2 =4.
Ryan Reynolds has shitty parents.

Let me help everyone out. ALL THE PEOPLE IN HOLLYWOOD ARE frickED UP. I honestly don’t think there is anyone in any sort of acting, producing, directing or upper studio role who isn’t damaged goods in some way.
And yet people listen to their opinions. Especially on politics. It’s astounding really.
