So the cop did what a multitude of black guys will do to her in over the course of the next 10 years?

The cop should sue her for resisting. And while he's at it sue her for 6 million

I am sure her attorney advised her to sue for that amount.. She will probably not get that much, but if she were to sue for.. let's say $2 million, she would probably be awarded less than that so you have to go with more than expected.
Is this a situation in which a lawsuit is needed? I say it's debatable. The cop was completely in the wrong and if he received a reasonable punishment for it then I don't think there is a need for a lawsuit, but if the department didn't take appropriate action then I think you would have to sue.

Wasn't there trespassing complaints? All these kids showed up to a private pool in a gated community. I think there was more than enough there to detain with probable cause.

5 mill because it is McKinney...
(yes that means only a certain economic threshold will allow you footing in that city)
She wont see a dime.

I would let that cop sodomize me for $5M. All day long.

Let's be real- if she was given $5M she'd be broke in two years.

While I agree that there is no excuse for how the cop acted, there is absolutely nothing in that video than justifies someone getting compensated $5,000,000
I can't stand how people think that is OK

Where do I sign up to be thrown down and knelt on for $5 million? I am all about that. Hell, they didn't even arrest the girl. Released her to her parents.
cop was wrong, but I would get thrown and knelt on for $1,000

Don't you know? All white people are rich, healthy, and have an endless supply of money. Also, all police are white, thus police are rich and just give money out without any losses.

That's not where I was going with this...
People (of any race) look for any reason to sue someone for an easy payday..it's sickening... oh well, the precedent has been set, and it'll never stop
I just can't comprehend it I guess... what happened to that girl that was worth 5 million dollars? shite, I just don't get it

Absolutely true. In every case there's some asinine logic at work.
-guy trips over misplaced parking block
-guy sues for $500 million dollars

That girl won't get a dime. Trespassing, running when being challenged to check to see if she is a trespasser or not. This one is simple and will be thrown out quickly.
