I love the buffalo soldier and civil rights part. I just get kind of depressed when we get to the 75% out of wedlock birth, the urban ghettos, the pervasive criminality and the racial identity politics. Let's skip all that and keep it optimistic. That Jackie Robinson was a hell of a guy.

I lived through that period of time. It's really a shame that it is never covered correctly. What life was REALLY like before it started is never covered correctly and MANY details of what happened during the movement are always left out.

I know!!! I was there!!!!

Looks like you aren't going to cover some of the most successful black people of this country. They were successful during the worst time in our history. William Ellison, The 20% of the NOLA population during the 1860's that owned slaves and other black people that owned slaves during that period.

These were men that prospered during a time of extreme adversity.
