Did he? Was that after he let the rioters burn and demolish businesses in downtown?

You Midlanders are hilarious. Try navigating the Crosstown in Charleston at any point during the day and you will question existence.

I get my hair cut down town. They had all their windows smashed in and all their iPads and computers stolen. There is a large George Floyd mural right next to it

I’m sure they love that. But they’re a bunch of hippies and probably supported this shite until it happened to them.

Yet we don't have a vote of no confidence in our city police chief. And our county sheriff just won sheriff of the year for the state.

Been there, done that. Malfunction Junction is worse unless there's a wreck on the Arthur Ravenel. Then ya, I'll give you Chucktown traffic is worse.

I don't typically blame a police chief for the shitty crime statistics of a city, I blame the culture of the community.
But, I imagine Bull Connor is rolling over in his grave.

Is that the same mayor who helped get "Funny Mane's" charges dropped when he actually started one of the riots?

Police Chief is Dirty Harry compared to the utter moron that serves as Jefferson County Sheriff.

Ouch. It could have been worse. You could have lived in Lexington.

Prior to that experience, we were thinking about buying or building on the west side of Irmo near the lake but that idea dissipated in a cloud of commuter exhaust. We ended up finding a nice house in Forest Acres with about a 10 minute commute for me and maybe 5 minutes more for my wife who worked at the state museum. I honestly don't mind a longer commute I just hate never knowing how long it will be from day to day.

I thought Birmingham was the place to be in the South? Doesn’t sound like it if police are being targeted there

Not to that extent. If we are talking unrest, 8 officers have been shot this year already
