I would hope that you would side with a party/candidate that went about properly changing a fundamental right of the US Constitution the correct way instead of trying every loophole possible to get around it. Or just ignoring it completely.

According to some, harsher penalties won't solve the problem. I say it depends on what the penalties are and how fast they are administered.

That was probably hunting regulations. You can't have more than three shells to hunt birds, and if your gun can hold more than three it has to be plugged so no more than three can be loaded at a time. You can have as many shells as you want if it's for home defense reasons.

Automatic weapons have require a special tax and stamp, and no new ones have gone in to circulation since 1986, so are very, very rare and very, very expensive. And highly regulated.
