Not historic by any means
Except it literally is historic for the fact its the largest pay out the sports book has ever accepted.

William Hill's Director of Trading Nick Bogdanovich said he thought the bettor—whom was likely a first-time customer at the book—had likely made a mistake when entering the wager.
Glad he won, because they aren't openly going to tell you you are making an error.

It was good seeing tiger win again.

I still don't think he'll ever catch Jack. He's not winning 3 more after 43.
It’s not like he the 129th ranked golfer in the world and just had a lucky week. His last 3 majors he’s finisher tied for 6th, 2nd and 1st. He won the 2018 Tour Championship and that field is as good as any field at a major. Tiger will spend the rest of his career playing in as few tournaments as possible and focusing on preparing for majors.

And today he was the 2nd oldest to ever win one. The first one he's won in over a decade. I don't think he'll win 3 more. Father time is undefeated brother.

Even if Tiger doesn’t get to 18+, he’s still the GOAT. He has 15 with an 11 year drought. Think about that for just a second.
The GOAT wouldn't have an 11 year drought.

Nicklaus is the GOAT.

Nicklaus played in 663 total golf tournaments.
Tiger has played in 336.
Nicklaus played in 121 majors where he was relevant. Another 42 where he wasn't.
Tiger has played in 78 majors, total.
Nicklaus is the GOAT but Tiger has the opportunity to make his final mark over the next six years or so.
