Better hope you don’t lose service or have an equipment issue if you are an AT&T customer

If you call, a recording offers to send you a link to their website. If you go to the website and the troubleshooting guide doesn’t work, you can do a live chat. If you choose the live chat, they won’t respond. If you choose live chat multiple times, you may get a response that gives you the AT&T phone number and then the live chat ends. It’s an endless do loop.

There is not an email link or any way to request service on their website.

Go to the AT&T community forums and post this. They usually have somebody from the company lurking there who will kick your problem up to the next level.

this won't help you now, but if you have a tech come to your home, always get his card and you can call him directly after that. That tip came straight from a couple techs.

On the Wednesday after to be precise. And I won't go back or use a provider that resells their connections

Whenever I had AT&T, the only way I could get a person to actually help me, was to tell the robot you were trying to cancel service during the menu.

I started doing that every time and it would always transfer me to their retention department where I would speak to an American sounding person, usually in Tempe or Utah.

I did this for years and my guy left eventually. He would come to my house and change out boxes for the newer models in like 2 minutes and leave.

It was awesome. I'd just call if the feed was glitchy or slow or had issues and he'd swing by on his way to another job. I would also take the time to call and say how great he was and fill out these customer review forms for him. I think he was getting bonuses from it, which was well-deserved.

Not a bad deal when the total "crammed" charges probably added up to $500 million.
I'd take that profit/loss for printing bills any day of the week

Yep, that works wonders. Same goes if you post on dslreports where it works not just for AT&T but Cox also.

That’s why I switched to Verizon. AT&T service SUCKS.

I live in a rural area and have been working from home all with the mobile hotspot on my phone. No issues with speed whatsoever. I have unlimited data, but limited mobile hotspot at high speed before they drop to a lower speed for the rest of the bill cycle. When I was about to run out of high speed hotspot, I called, got a person, and they upped my allowance at a discounted rate. Wonderful service.

Sounds about normal for their customer service.
