Turn the heater on and wait

Put your hand on the inside of the windshield after scraping snow off.
Also put a little rubbing alcohol and water in bottle, spray on windshield.

Um, I turn the heat on and scrape with my library card. Works perfectly fine.
Subtle literacy brag.

The best way to do it is to be running late for work so you carve out a little spot right in your line of sight only and let it blow off as the defrost warms up the window as you drive.

Move the car into direct sunlight or just warm it up and turn on the defrost

And if your heater core is bypassed?

Turn on car and crank the front/back defroster as high as it can go. Let the car warm up for 10-15 min and then use an ice scraper for whatever is left.
This is coming from 20+ years of experience in cold weather.

As stated turn on heated defrost, wait, and then scrape. If your car has good weather seal, open a side window about 1/4 inch to improve flow by reducing pressure in cab.

Use an ice scraper. Theres rarely been a time that after squeegeeing off snowthat windshield wiper fluid doesn't do the job, unless we have had an ice storm, in that case...

Boiling water
Scrap it. The rapid temperature of applying boiling water could cause the windshield to crack.

If you didn't cover the windshield the night before (and even if you did), trot out there and start the car with the heater on high and defrost. Go back inside for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy a toasty car and clear, or easily cleaned windows.

I use 2 movers blankets to cover the windshield and back window.

Boil water as hot as you can get it then immediately pour it onto the frozen windshield and back glass. You’ll thank me later.
When he has to go to the windshield repair shop because your idea ruined his windshield?

omg. Even better. Look at what it does to the door handle.

Posted on 12/23/22 at 11:46 am to pioneerbasketball
A bucket of boiling water and a toss. It is all in the wrist.

Hot water melts ice right?
