If there is moisture in the air I'll put a towel over the driver side front window.

Boil water as hot as you can get it

Works better if you use a pressure cooker otherwise you can only get it to about 212 F depending on the altitude.

Pretty sure there’s a set temp no matter how hard you boil it

Let defroster run on high while you wait inside.

That's what I do. Let that fricker run for half an hour if need be.

Hate scraping.

And if your heater core is bypassed?

Three sticks of firewood stacked on the dash with a little lighter fluid. Light ten go back inside for a few minutes.

You will find that this will actually heat the inside of your car also.

Oh yea, don’t overdo it on the lighter fluid. You don’t want that smell in your car.

The shite thats good down to -25.

Keep a couple of jugs in the car for those cold and relatively humid mornings.

The best way to do it is to be running late for work so you carve out a little spot right in your line of sight only and let it blow off as the defrost warms up the window as you drive.

lived in NY for 4 years...frick every single person that thinks this is ok and gets on a highway to do it. Please always get the ice off your windshield and the roof of your vehicle before driving on a highway or interstate.
