I recently took up a simple woodworking hobby. I want to make a layered, multiple type wood, bourbon bottle display. Home Depot and Lowe’s doesn’t have shite.
Where can I get some quality wood to make this but for bottles, not glasses?

I have no specific knowledge but the OT contends Grindr is your friend in this quest.

Ride on up to Mississippi. Illusions puts the wood in Woodville.

(Not sure if they're still open.)

Service Lumber and Supply on Oak Villa near Cortana Mall. Last time I was there, couple years ago, they had a warehouse of many different wood species, domestic and exotic.

P.S. you realize you’d get legit answers if you moved this post to the Home & Garden Board

Baton Rouge is shite for good hardwood lumber. Acadian Hardwood, Brazos and Service Lumber are about the best options. Newman in Gulfport is the closest decent supplier. Make note that for small projects that shorts can be used for the internet is a great place when you live in a quality lumber desert like BR. Bell Forest Products comes to mind.

You knew starting a thread like this was basically painting a bullseye on your a-hole.

Service Lumber is your best bet in BR.

Acadian Hardwoods in Ponchatoula has a better selection though.
