What’s y’all experience with these?
My brother was a RA in Kirby-Smith for the four years he was at LSU. He loved it - even worked the summers. Between that and TOPS he owed nothing for his degree.

Worked as an office assistant in the College of Education. Got to help place recent grad teachers into schools around the Baton Rouge area. Obviously lots of talent came through my office.
Also got to sometimes grade the tests/homework for football players in Kinesiology courses. Most of them could barely spell their name. Still got A's....

My campus jobs were fun too.
First one was a desk worker/runner at Facility Services and we had a Jeep we got to drive around town “running things”. When we were at the office, got paid to just sit around and watch movies or whatever.
Plus, we had keys to the building which came in handy on gameday for bathroom usage.
After that, I was the mass communications intern for the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. I wrote all press releases, articles, etc. for the department. I also handled donor letters and records of who donated what.
Again, had a key which was great for game days.

I was a library "security guard". All I had to do was sit in the computer lab and report any suspicious activity. Not once did I ever report anything. I did that for 2 years. Easiest job ever. Got lots of homework done and then just played games on the computer the rest of the time.

I can't remember the exact department name but in the late 80's I worked for LSU Television as a camera man. The department would make videos for different businesses like the Exxon plant which we made a driver safety video. Our manager would give us a list of scenes he wanted and send us out in in the department Bronco. Lots of screw off time but we did some videoing.
Our manager also would send us out in the quad to practice with the camera. We would just video co-eds walking through the quad. They of course would be curious what we were up to so lots of opportunities to meet girls.
The rest of the time we would just punch in and watch TV or old videos that were on the shelves. Easiest money I every earned.

I milked cows across from Alex Box and the hayfield parking lot when the farm was still there. I'll never forget getting to the farm at 1am after the Auburn game to milk and found out that all the cows were out with the gate wide open. I've never been so panicked in my life, but still managed to corral all the cows back in their enclosure. They were chilling around the corn silage and a grassy patch. My guess is a typical crazy drunk LSU fan opened the gate.

I worked for the athletic department. My job was to make sure the football players went to class. That was it.
I’d just go check a few classrooms around campus and peak in. I’d get paid for an hour if it was MWF or 1.5 if it was TuTh. Even if it just took 30 minutes.

RNR field work jobs...Driving an airboat was the pinnacle, but electrofishing and having 100 fish float up or buying oysters and shrimp off fishermen before they made it back to land were pretty great. Hell we got to stay in the LDWF research station in Pass a Loutre, no dry land within 15 miles of our station. Still the most stars I've ever seen.
