Toyotas Nassau gave me the best price but the drive sucked

Call, email, do some work and you will save. BR LA dealerships suck for the most part....keep working and maybe drive and you will get something better.

Lake Charles Toyota is the best deal in the State of Louisiana. Competitive. Free oil change and inspection stickers for life.

Look for a high volume dealership close to you. Toyota of Dallas is a good one.

Texas, LA, and MS are in one region to Toyota. If you can’t find one in this region, the AL, GA, FL region starts in Daphne AL. That’s where I got mine.

We have purchased a few vehicles in Houston. Found much better pricing that we could get in BR.

I got mine from Palmer’s in mobile, strictly because they could give the best deal. They were able to skip the ported options from the distributor and I didn’t get to pick the color. Keep in mind that is southeast Toyota, which has a different destination charge than gulf states (will affect out the door price to compare apples to apples). It was like $4k off MSRP which is great for a tacoma.
It was such a good deal it didn’t drop in value for 2 years

I have a separate email for buying cars. Blast out emails, gather offers and see if someone will match the best price with your preference (ie. See if BR will match an out of state price, or if your color preference will match another dealers). It’s a pain and takes a few days but it is worth it, easiest way to cast a wide net. Usually 25-50% of dealers will respond and some offers are garbage.

Do a nation wide search on cars.com and get a cheap 1 way flight if you have to. I’ve bought 2 Lexus’ in the last year, save $6K on one by flying to Chicago, saved over $10K on the other by flying to Dallas.

A couple of years ago, after shitty BR prices, we felt like we got a really good price from Toyota of New Orleans, they have prices listed online and we were prepared to go to Texas if needed

Get on Cargurus.com find exactly what you want. Look nationwide for the lowest price. Target areas one says drive away. Call and have them back the price of your flight out of the price. Fly in and pick it up.

I saved 5k on my last vehicle purchase doing this over buying local. It took 1 day of my time. The dealership even paid for my gas to get back.

5k isn't bad for one day of my time.

Karl Malone Toyota of Ruston. Best deals in the state and financing options have never been better than they are now.

Not to hijack, but how does that work? Do you pay Texas taxes and Louisiana taxes?

Tax rate is based on address the vehicle is garaged, not where purchased.
