Go get it. You will regret it if you do not. As you said, you can always get your money back and it sounds like you could make a few dollars on it even if you do nothing.

for the best hamburger in Baton Rouge you must try Riverside Patty.
It is off of Siegen, Cloverland I think. Great burger and fries for a very reasonable price. His patties are not preformed and are large. Burger is well dressed with quality lettuce and tomato.

Yes, ashamedly I have. I was merging from two lanes to one lane. I merged with plenty of room and my blinker on. They guy behind me started blowing his horn and making frantic gestures. I ignore it and just turn up the radio a little bit. Well, he continues to blow the horn and flips me the bird and again I ignore it. The horn is unrelenting and now he is yelling out his window and flipping me a double bird with both hands. Before I realized what I was doing I slammed the truck in park, thought I messed up my transmission by the clicking sound it made. Got out and walked up to his window while he remained seated in the car looking straight ahead and he only said, "you cut me off sir". He never looked at me directly.
I know how stupid that was but sometimes the emotion just overtakes you and overrules common sense.
By the way I am in my 60's so I should be smarter.

All true. I purchased it from an estate about 8 months ago. When I got it only 6300 miles were on it. The truck was in practically new condition.
Yes, I did get the notice from GM that an issue was with the passenger airbag and it needed service.
I am going to call the general manager directly and lets see if I get a call back. If not a call with resolution I guess then I will leave negative review and file in small claims court. What is the likelihood of success in small claims court?
Granted, the truck is 18 years old but it is in wonderful condition. The dash was not cracked when I brought it in and now it is.

Dealership service issue -

I received a recall notice for the airbag on my GMC pickup. It is 18 years old but only has about 20,000 miles on it. During the airbag service they cracked my dash. This has been about 6-8 weeks ago. After getting the run around from my service "advisor" I called and talked to the service manager. He said that to replace the damaged dash would be $1500 and that they would offer a discount of $500 so my part would be $1000.
I told the service manager that they caused 100% of the problem and are offer 33% to correct it.
What are my options? GM customer service? Small claims court?
This is a local dealer here in Baton Rouge

General Lee's home place is now a cemetery. It was not Jefferson Davis home.
Learned of a sad insurance statistic yesterday. Farm Bureau covers 7 southern states. Louisiana pays 19% of the premiums but is responsible for 51% of the payouts.
Sounds out of whack, doesn't it?

I released our pair back to the Saints. Had them for many years but got tired of the mediocre effort by the Saints. I was hoping that management would change but it did not.

Went last night and had a very good time. Traffic for us was not bad at all. Beer price was bad, $11, but I think it is the same for Saints games. And at least it was a 16 ounce beer. Lots of fun loving Americans out last night and all seem to have had a great time.

Saints Draft Boil

Anyone have any information on the draft boil? I don't think the Saints have had one since covid. It was fun with good crawfish and a chance to visit the Saints indoor facility.

What kind of car is it? Maybe worth the hassle to get it with a bill of sale.
re: It’s 1943, you’ve been assigned to the 8th Air Force…

A few years ago, we had a B-17 come to Baton Rouge and you could purchase a flight ticket. There was also I believe a B-25 that offered the same opportunity. Anyway, I took a flight on the B-17 and I remember how thin the skin on the fuselage was. Once airborne you could move through the aircraft to the different positions.
During my time in service, I was a navigator on KC-130's with about 2000 flight hours. I have always had a fascination and a great respect of these men. I don't remember the percent of lost in the 8th Air Force but it was a great number.

It is nice to see a coach with passion instead of Dennis Allen walking back and forth looking at the big screen and that dumb blank look on his face.
