My absolute favorite was The Far Side.
I think I like Calvin and Hobbes more now than I did as a kid, but I really liked it as a kid too.
Zits was a good one.
I liked Beetle Bailey, Hagar the Horrible, and Garfield too.

There’s Calvin and Hobbes and then there’s everything else. Bloom County was a cut above the rest also. Far Side was funny but not in the same tier as Calvin and Hobbes.

I posted a Calvin and Hobbes earlier in the thread and loved that strip, but got into Far Side later. Definitely IS in the same tier, just different. More adult, more "out there".

My son's Christmas present this year was the whole Calvin and Hobbes collection. He loves it, and we ready it together. Awesome father and son time. I cackle the whole time,
