Best coffee makers?

Looking at new coffee makers, we’ve had the basic cheap drip coffee maker for years, I’ve got no issues with it but it’s starting to not get as hot and the wife has mentioned wanting to upgrade...
Without spending $500 on some crazy machine what is a good solid semi high end coffee maker? I’ve been looking at the Ninja ones, they range from $99-$179
Any others I should check out?

I might get down voted but any drip coffee maker is going to function essentially the same way, whether it's Mr. Coffee or some top of the line machine. You're paying for gimmicks

Chemex pour over, OXO Burr grinder, and an electric goose neck kettle. Make sure you get some fresh roasted beans. Will be the best cup of coffee you ever had.

I bout a cuisenart (spell?) about 8 or 9 years ago for maybe a little over $100 and it still does good. I make coffee every day in it so it's not like it's been seldom used.

I tend to agree with this but my wife wants a nicer one
I do like how some of them you can fill up hoppers of beans and water and it will mix and brew it automatically

Any interest in the pod type coffee?
The Nespresso makes surprisingly good coffee. Some of the best I ever had

Bonavita 8-cup ($150) is a great choice in this range. A step up from the standard drip machine. If you’re only making 25oz of coffee or less, the 5-cup ($99) is great as well. I have the 5-cup. My dad has a Technivorm Moccamaster that consistently makes better coffee IMO but will run you around $300

Mr Coffee. Cheap model. You ain’t gonna get 300 dollars of flavor from a fancy one.

Had the Technivorm Moccamaster pre flood. really liked it
Got this one after the flood LINK and it does well also. This one does have to be descaled from time to time. It has a little message that tells you when. Even though that is a minor inconvenience, it is made up by that fact you can change settings on how you want your coffee to be brewed.

Get a standard drip. You don't need anything fancy other than a timer so its ready when you wake up.
Also, get a french press for your weekend coffee. Its significantly better, and won't set you back but another 20 bucks or so.

Honestly. A Colletti Bozeman old school percolator from Amazon.
You can use on your stove, a campfire, a Coleman stove.
And it puts out great coffee. Percolate for 8 minutes and ready. The way God intended.
