I'm not looking for pants to wear to the office. I'm looking for something to wear on the weekends/to football games when the weather gets nicer. I'll check out mountain khakis. I've heard good things but never tried them.
I like ones that can double for both.
As for truly casual pants, the Peter Millar and Heritage 34 5 pocket khaki pants are similar to jeans but class things up a bit. Both are good and really really comfortable.
I also like Peter Millar's standard khaki, BB clark, and the Orvis ultimate khaki.
I've tried a lot of MK and I just keep running into problems. Their sizing is notoriously fricked up. I really like their cords, but they surprisingly not durable at all. I just don't really think MK has very good quality control.

Mountain Khaki slim fit originals
They're not cheap though, but awesome pants for an outdoor lifestyle.

They quit making them, our at least the retailers in our area said they no longer made products.

Dockers for comfort. Mountain Khaki for durability.

J Crew chinos are my go to. They fit really nicely as well.

Mountain Khakis are the way to go then. I work in an industrial office so I wear them to work a ton as well as on weekends. They hold up phenomenally.
ETA: They run a little narrow, so if you have bigger legs, go for the relaxed fits.
