It’s a possibility. But you would think they might have someone who made a decent cup of coffee once.

It’s a little outside your price range, but for a drip coffee maker nothing beats Bunn.

Not under $60, but you can't get more basic than a Bunn. Pour water in, turn on warmer, and five minutes later you have a pot of coffee. No bells, no whistles, just a coffee maker that works and lasts for years.

We love our Ninja. Ours is a little more expensive, like $120, but it has the frothing arm and everything. But looking on Walmart's website, the basic 12-cup is on sale for $64

Just get that thing. You can make a good cup of coffee and mine (around $140) has lasted years. I just drink regular coffee (order whole beans and grind them daily) and dont even use the frother (or sugar or cream at all)

Somebody find me this and you'll receive upvotes for each post for life:

1.) Built in Grinder (freshness)
2.) 10+ cup capacity (prefer 12+)
3.) Programmable (automation is key)
4.) *Steel carafe (less thermal dissipation)
5.) App (nice to have, sometimes I wake late)
6.) Grind mode of/on
7.) Strength setting
8.) Under $150

* will allow glass if burner stays hot for 1-2hrs

I can't find it and I ask WTF NOT?

Just spend the extra $10 and get a basic Cuisinart from Wal-Mart for $69.95.
It has a three-year warranty, and they'll replace it no problem.

We have a cuisinart drip with a timer. It has last the years. We have the one with a keurig side to it as well, but you might not need that.

The trick is less the coffee maker and more what goes into it.

- Get a "burr" grinder, grind your own beans before bed. You can adjust ground size to your taste preference.
- Get better whole beans. I actually like some Kirkland brand ones and they are very affordable. Of course, you can go fancier there.
- White filters seem to taste better, which seems counterintuitive. The brown can make coffee taste like paper pulp.

Of course, I still think nothing beats a french press, but we only do that on weekends. I like the coffee to be ready right when I wake up on work days.

That's called getting rim-roasted in Starbucks language.

I thought so too. Until I had one that suddenly the coffee out of it was undrinkable. I think it must have been an issue with water temperature because it all tasted burnt. Tried to go though the Ninja/Shark warranty process, but it was a nightmare. Just ended up throwing the thing away.

You can buy a French press and an electric kettle for like $35 together. They will last forever, and you will have better coffee.
