But all the Louisiana pumpers on here tell me Louisiana is the best state. Who wouldn’t want to raise their family in litter, dead animals, bad schools, crime, high taxes, low wages with high real-estate prices, corrupt politicians, and an economy centered around a product that’s been down for 5 years now and no effort to diversify elsewhere?

I think part of it for most of us in the south is that we don't really know what we're missing out on. If we were to move our families to a place like New Hampshire or Massachusetts, we'd probably look back and think to ourselves "damn, the south really is a shithole".

Why are states with only whites always ranked so high and states with a lot of blacks so low? Seems pretty racist. They're saying people should only raise a family around white people.

I have to ask in every one of these weekly threads. If you hate LA/NOLA/BTR so damn much, why do you live here? Why do you frequent a LSU Board? If you don’t live here, why do you care?
Or do you just garner some perverse enjoyment from running other people down?

Can we get a ranking of largest percentage of white people by state to put next to this one?

I mean, that shouldn't be too hard if you really want me to.

I agree. They are so proud of their own state then they should go to their current state’s pro and college team’s message boards and get off of Louisiana State’s message board.

There is now quantitative data to support the phrase: "At least we're not Mississippi" -Louisianians

I've been to a lot of states, all states have their issues and quality of life.
I still call Louisiana home and plan on sticking around. I would put in the middle of the pack from what I've seen and experienced in other states.

As far as amenities and quality of life, I would tend to agree. Far more resources in Texas. I'm considering making the jump to one of the Dallas suburbs soon.
