Visible, us mobile, mint or tello. The latter two run off T-Mobile network. Visible is Verizon. US mobile has the option for all 3

Switched from AT&T to Xfinity mobile this past year under a one year promotion for a free mobile line (up to 4 additional lines $20/month) as an Xfinity home internet customer. The catch is you have to have Xfinity as your home internet provider.

I pay in 3mo installments... but I did see where you save more if you buy a year.

The selling point for me when I switched was that even paying 3mo up front, it was STILL cheaper than a month of verizon. My daughter had used the service a while before we did, we saw she was pleased and made the leap. If it wasn't for her I would have a figured it was a BS service and a scam... it's not, i t's fantastic and I wish I'd have done it sooner.

That makes sense and is probably what I would do, 3 months at a time. I have the money to buy a year at a time, but even at their rate that's still a lot to pay up front, plus then you are locked in.

Try it out- if the coverage isn't good enough, there's a lot of these spin off services that I bet all work roughly the same... and as I said, it's super easy to move your cell number around.

One thing... all my phones were purchased "unlocked" direct from Apple- I don't know if there's extra steps if you bought your phone thru a service provider.

That's an option I thought about as well. I have Xfinity home internet (no Xfinity cable). and I vaguely remember seeing that same offer you are talking about. My internet works well, i just utterly hate Comcast as a Company. Their customer service is beyond trash.

I might consider it, the only challenge for me is that my renewal for Xfinity Internet (I had a 2 year price lock contract) comes up in early September. There's another local internet provider, and I'm considering going with them unless Xfinity matches or beats their price. So I'm still deciding that.

Do you find Xfinity mobile to be good? How easy was it to switch from AT&T to Xfinity mobile? Again I'll be honest, I don't like Comcast as I feel like they make everything difficult. But if they offer that same deal, that's hard to beat. So I wanted to see how the switchover process was for you.

Luckily I'm good there. I bought my iPhone 15 about a year and a half ago directly from Apple, so it's unlocked.

Nope - been overpaying with AT&T for 20 years

I've had the same AT&T account since before it was bought by Cingular, and then bought back by AT&T. I think I got my first cell phone around 2002, so it's almost a 25 year old account.

I'm sure I'm overpaying looking at the OP.

Yeah I was fed up with AT&T being shady and unhelpful, not to mention pricey.

Had no idea about Xfinity mobile until I went into their store as I was about to cancel the home internet since the promotion for that had expired and my monthly bill had doubled. The people there were very helpful and ended up locking me into a 5 year internet plan cancel any time for the same price I had been paying under the initial promotion. Then they offered the one year free mobile promotion and I made the switch. It’s been great so far. No complaints. Think they utilize Verizon’s network towers so coverage is just as good if not better than AT&T. The process was very easy and fast. Just need a few bits of info from AT&T to get it switched over.

The Xfinity employee that helped me also recommended not to contact their customer service department since it’s mostly automated or outsourced and very frustrating to deal with. Said just come by the store if there’s ever any issues. It is only a one year promotion, but I was told they’ll probably have another promotion by the end of this one so I’ll see how it goes.
