Update: sadly 3 kids and one adult are dead.

They never will. When had you ever heard of a school shooting before Columbine? I can’t remember any.

Luke Woodham at Pearl High School in 97. It was a big deal locally, but I don’t think it got much national attention.

Bend, Oregon police: received a call reporting someone shooting into a car at 12:59pm at Silver Rail Elementary School. Police arrived at 1:02pm and shooter was down seconds later. Unclear who shot shooter, possibly a bystander. Shooter is dead, died inside school. (Police also had received multiple calls reporting a shooter inside the school.) There are multiple victims, including children. No number of victims released yet.
That almost sounds like it could have started as a domestic issue.

The police department reports that the shooter is "down."
Authorities have confirmed that two people were transported to St. Charles Health, but have not specified the nature of their injuries, or if this includes the suspect.
