If it were my only option Id gladly pay 60 bucks give or take for one of my favorite things in life. Not too often, but I sure wouldn't hesitate at least once. Ive blown more money on way worse.

I don’t think I have ever seen $10/lb crawfish in Houston. Many places gouge at $5 but not $10. Where are you?

Still $6 to $7 in NWLa.
The most ridiculous season in years.
I’m not a buyer for boiled until $4 purely on principle.
If idiots would stop paying $7/lb we could see some sanity.
Market forces don’t even seem to be affecting things here. As opposed to the past, there are so many places to get crawfish and they are not even try to undercut each other so far this season.
They are all $6-$7 whether it is brick and mortar sit downs or a cook trailer.

If people would stop paying $2 a lb we could back to $20 sacks of crawfish. Those days are gone.

I guarantee you that right now in Dixie Inn, La at the Crawfish Hole there is an hour and a half wait for a table to sit down and pay $7/lb. As long as these idiots keep doing that, this will continue.

Aggies have to pay the price for sucking the head.

Why the hell would I pay that much for mudbugs when I can get skrimps fresh from the SC coast or a couple bucks a pound?

Years ago my boys and I put out nets, the mesh ones' with the wires sticking up out of the water.
One particular area was on fire and we loaded up, cooked and had a great time.
I few days later (after the water went down) one of my boys drove by and there was a dead dog in the ditch where we got our haul. That's what they were eating and then we ate them - yummy

had the opportunity to go eat boiled crawfish this afternoon and didn't go because it's still too cool for a crawfish boil. I like it to at least be warm.

Nah... they must be fresh (never frozen), with the heads still on to be boiled or “barbecue”.
