The only time I eat crawfish is when other people buy them.

If you’re in the southeast/coastal part of Texas, it’s not that much different than Louisiana. Easy to get crawfish and a lot of Louisiana transplants that do it right. Or that has been my experience.

Back when I was in HS, I used to get them for $0.69/lb in the dirty dell. That was late 90s

Just sounds as though people there are stupid. It's that price because people are willing to pay that price.

I like crawfish but FUUUUCK paying that much. Hell, F $3/lb. that’s an expensive meal when you add in everything.

My go to is shrimp. Buy em by the ice chest during shrim season for $2-$3/lb, freeze em, and boil whenever you like.

I had the opportunity to go eat boiled crawfish this afternoon and didn't go because it's still too cool for a crawfish boil. I like it to at least be warm.
