Mountains.
Bears vs. Sand
Chance of a bear encounter? Low single digits I assume.
Chance of sand 100%

Been to both recently
The beach is good but I was sitting on the patio drinking coffee in 56 degrees in the mountains with the perfect clean air. Nothing beats that. Just pure bliss

Amazing Beach > Amazing Mountains > Mediocre Mountains > Shitty Beach

Living in Kommiefornia, I'm 15 minutes from the beach and about an hour to the mountains.
Love them both but I feel more "invigorated" at the beach.
Must be a throwback to when we crawled out of the ocean billions of years ago.

Almost everyone I know that doesn’t like the beach…almost always a fatty.
Thats hilarious, and totally backwards.
Elevation excludes chubby people. The higher you get, the leaner and more active humans become.
The beach is made for whales.

I feel like there are more trashy people at the beach. Plus most beaches have high humidity

I fucckin hate the beach…sand gets every where. Sunburnt all the time. I can make the same drink on a beach as in a cabin so alcohol is out…its not as crowded
Let's not pretend that driving 45 minutes to go 15 miles in the mountains with dipshits flying around blind curves is much better.
Both have their moments.
That's why I do both

Mountains. Not even remotely close. Anything to escape from heat and humidity. I hate the beach. The combination of sweat, sand, and salt water is absolutely miserable.

maybe, but everyone i personally know that doesnt like the beach...they are fat. They like vacations in cooler climates.
they all complain about the sand.

This makes sense. But you see way more fatties at the beach than you do in the mountains. Hanging out in the mountains requires you to be in shape and all the activities are active. The beach is the opposite

Beach in summer.
Mountains the other 3 seasons.

That’s not the norm. Fat asses love the beach where they can sit and not move all day and eat Doritos. In the mountains they can’t walk very far in that elevation. The fittest states all have mountains.
I love the mountains so my wife and I can be active and hike every day.
