Wait till kids come.
That's when the real fear (and joy) begins.

Shaky as hell with mouth quivering.

I tried to take a nap after I shaved in my hotel room before the ceremony. Had a couple hours before getting ready. Just stared at the ceiling. Beyond that, nothing really.

Not nervous, just anxious to get it over with already so I could get some food and drinks (which ended up not happening until after the reception).

It got better by the third time.

Not as nervous as my bride.

I had spent so much time preparing myself mentally and busy with planning that it was a breeze.
I had the flu along with all in the wedding party but my wife. We still had fun. Thank god for cortisone shots.

I don't know how or why people get nervous on their wedding day.
Some people like me aren’t use to being the sole attention (aside from the bride of course) in a big room full of people. I realize they are friends and relatives, but to me, was still nerve racking.
As far as in holy cow I’m about to be married part, nah I was good and excited.

We were both virgins so I was excited as hell on my wedding day.

I was 17. Too young and stupid to be nervous.

Not nervous at all. I knew I was marrying the right woman. I grew up as an altar boy and lector, so I felt at home up by the altar.
Spent the morning laying on my parents couch watching TV. Family kept passing through, waking me up to ask if I was nervous.

I was nervous the day of your wedding.

Extremely nervous...that I wasn’t going to make it back to start the service on time.
My grandfather, who was my best man, forgot to pack his boxers. Reused to wear the boxers from the day before, to go commando, or wear someone else’s underwear.
Everybody else was either too tipsy to drive or tied up taking care of other things. So we had to speed to the nearest target to get him new drawers.
Walmart was significantly closer, but according to him, their underwear loses it elasticity too quickly, and therefore not worth wasting anyone’s money on, regardless of the fact that my wedding was scheduled to start in 45 minutes.

Nervous? You stole something?

The day of the wedding I was calm as a Hindu cow. I *way* out kicked my coverage. I was joking and playing with the guests and such, had a few sips of bourbon, etc.
Now, the day I actually asked her? Clammy hands, stuttering, utter mess. Dinner after she said yes was when I finally calmed down and felt like a weight was off my shoulders.
