I am beginning to think our mayor and her team of advisors, Together Baton Rouge, et al, sit around and just propose stupid contrarian ideas. "Give me your best ideas, now let's do the exact opposite."

I heard the residents of Metairie country club are requesting an express bus line to little woods

Still confused how adding a few bus stops to existing roads and telling your bus drivers, who are already on the payroll to go drive busses already owned, to drive a new route will cost $50 million.
Are they adding new lanes to this route?
Where the frick, ON PAPER, is the money going? Where is the cost breakdown??

I can see that, but if it’s such an issue why can’t LSU accommodate those workers with a shuttle service? Why do the tax payers if EBR have to subsidize it

Contract with Uber. I can promise you it won’t cost $50 million.
frick, give each worker $5k and they can buy their own used car and it would still be cheaper than $50 million.

After consulting fees and studies, they still have to build those cute little bus stop shelters and maybe even a NBR terminal.

Hopefully they also add a $30 million bike lane to accommodate the NBR bike riders.

I believe they're putting in a $10 million bike lane from downtown to NBR

"Apparently" it is for all the workers at LSU.
What’s next? A tram from St George to Southern University? So the all the Southern students there can get to school?

What a waste. I cannot believe any money was even spent studying this proposed route.

Let's not forget about the Bike Share program.
LINK
"Five hundred GPS-enabled e-bikes will be installed in 50 different locations throughout the city, including ones at the Louisiana State University, Southern University, City Park and the Baton Rouge Lakes."
"Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced that Gotcha was selected to launch the city’s first public bike share program."
Gotcha, LOL. seems appropriate.
