In San Diego there is a Chi Chi's Mexican Cantina with the same look style everything. I thought I was in an old Chi Chi's, although I didn't eat people were seating down eating. That night in the hotel, I google what happened (salsas was bad, people died in Pittsburgh) then Outback bought them all and closed them and reopen their restaurants in the buildings. that's when I realized that I was in a

Was Cortana or Bon Marche the one where everything was decorated like you were on a ship? Thought I was high rolling as a kid in there.

Someone got pulled over right there on OnPatrol Live this weekend. I got so nostalgic for buying a Sierra point and click video game, getting a grunge album, then choking on fried cheese at Benigans.

El Chico was the best…you could rave all night to techno then get fried ice cream when the sun came up

Care to elaborate? I'm younger than most of the board, so I missed out on (but am fascinated by) the 80s/90s BR party scene. Rolling all night and eating fried ice cream for breakfast at a Mexican joint sounds like a great time as a degenerate college kid

I just remember getting on the saddle in the foyer at El Chico, circa early 90s.
It’s one of those places that I vividly remember the layout of, despite being so young at the time.

Once it closed, our family spot became ninfas, back when the piñatas covered the ceiling

I worked at Bennigan’s near Cortana from 2000-2002. What a time to be alive.

I assume that was the massive order of onion rings? If so, I 100% agree. I was a kid when it opened but I remember loving their massive pile of onion rings!
