Think about this. Now we can see the type of people the mayor relies on for advice. People like these permeate her “team”.
It’s no wonder that everyday issues we face aren’t addressed. These people worry more about community programs, bike paths, eliminating cars, and global warming than they do about crime, the homeless, drainage, trash and littering.

Correct on both points. I find it to be a bit insane that a mayor who has absolutely zero experience in law enforcement has the power to select the head of law enforcement.
It's complete insanity and the state of this city currently is a perfect example of what could arise from this.

I also do not know why this bothers me but I know that some of these people, most of them, relish being able to say they are on that committee just from a personal accomplishment standpoint. You think Eugene Collins doesn't think he is big shite because of his being on this committee? He is a "mover and shaker" in the BR community.
