It 100% is politically motivated.

Endanger them with a cold? I think that is tolerable. If they are elderly or immune deficient, they can stay home.
How are so many people against freedom of choice? If you think people make a poor choice, choose to not go around them.

The avid support for authoritarian measures and military enforcement in our cities is terrifying on this board.
Has no one here ever studied history?
I don’t think the virus was politically motivated but the reaction to it seems to absolutely be a test of how easily Americans will surrender their rights in a whim because of social media influence and so far we’re pathetically failing that test.
When you sacrifice freedom for security you deserve neither and lose both.

If the virus was this deadly of course no one would support him. But it’s not. It’s death rate is dropping significantly in the US, especially as we test more and more and more people realizing a shut ton of people have it and don’t even realize. The longer we get away from the nursing home in Seattle the death rate and even hospitalization rate is going to drop. This thing isn’t Ebola or SARS or even H1N1 even.

I’m sorry, did I miss that clause in the constitution? Right to assembly, unless it’s dangerous?
Quit being a commie.

Ok shitbag. Nobody is looking to take away your constitutional rights. We’re just trying to keep people from dying.

Really? Look, I think a lot of these guys are thieves, and I think it’s irresponsible to ignore all guidance on large crowds. But in case anyone forgot, the first amendment literally says:
quote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This is the big arse Penacostal church on the corner of Blackwater and Hooper. That's the pastor's house behind it. Service of the Lord seems to pay fairly well.

There isn't a single right in the constitution that is without limitation. The state can and has taken drastic measures in a drastic times. This selfish a-hole priest is free to sign his congregation up for skype or facebook or whatever and practice his snake oil shite electronically and squeeze money from his congregation through venmo or cash app if he wants.
