I can definitely believe that the Chinese government is lying about all of their data. They’re communists after all. For those people, saying things that actually map on to reality is optional.
Reasonable people can disagree about the extent to which they’re lying, but they are most certainly lying.

Asia is much different than the US when it comes to cellular usage. It is extremely cheap and without a cell number and a phone you aren't doing shite.

China may be lying about their data, but the drop in mobile customers probably has a more likely explanation. If someone leaves an area (like many fled from Wuhan) what happens to those accounts?

How does that compare to a different period? 10MM seems like a lot but it may just be the normal churn over there.
