I'd go somewhere like Fred's On the River on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

i know this is about BR specifically, but if you're on the Northshore on a friday at about 6 or 7pm, go to Donz at the lakefront. absolutely fricking wild. gen x-ers galore, all horned up and acting crazy. some solid people watching.

You know BR OT posters are on the downswing when it’s bottom page 2 and no mention of The Jefferson.

I have that place the chances. Tight space with a pool take you gotta maneuver around. Most of the ppl were focused on pool than conversation

The Library is a great chill spot. Bartender is a good looking late 30’s chick who is cool.

Ice House is fun but kinda duchey IMO

It’s been 10-15 years since I frequented bars but there were always some older people there. Granted I never went to Fred’s but I was a regular at The Caterie before it burned down. If anyone else here was a regular during that time I probably know you. Hell, you were probably at my house before considering half the bar would end up at my house afterwards to keep the party rolling.

I loved The Caterie and drank my first legal beer there way back in 1979. I can't begin to tell you how many Bud longnecks and Cheeseburgers Paradise (and Foghorn Leghorns) I quaffed down in that joint over the years. I still have a little flag from a British Invasion cover band called "The Shoes" that used to play there in the early '80's.
