Unless you like studying your family tree in a building I forget the name of. It is boring.
Have you actually been? It's pretty much like any city, there is a ton of live music, restaurants, bars, etc, to occupy your time in between winter sports.
It is "boring" compared to Vegas, perhaps, but there's about as much to do there as in any metro city. I don't know about titty bars, so maybe that's what they were missing?

If not for my family I’d move to SLC in a heart beat

I'm all for an Easy Rider remake with these two way past their prime, rich black guys who are constantly looking for adventures, high priced hookers, or fully nude strip clubs.

SLC is my top retirement destination.
With that said, you need to like being outside doing something. Based off their physique, I'm guessing Charles and Shaq aren't outside hiking, running, skiing, etc, etc.

Shaq and them want to go to a club with bottle service and sparklers coming off of a bottle of Dom as women parade to their table and Travis Scott mumbles some words into a microphone while all the shallow women take selfies on instagram to pretend they're having fun chasing clout sitting in the VIP section
SLC does not have that
SLC does not have that

Wait NC lost the all star game but yet the nba was ok with UTAH that makes so much sense

SLC is mostly known for winter activities like skiing. Can you imagine giant arse Shaq and Charles Barkley barreling down a mountain on skis?
I'm on the slopes twice a week. I think I see one black person once a month.

Maybe, but the summer activities are better and more varied. I am sitting 10 miles from the Salt Lake Valley at the moment. I spend way more time up here in the summer than I do in the winter. There is a great mountain biking scene, along with hiking, fishing, outdoor concerts, festivals, and camping.
They are probably correct in that the club scene isn’t what it is in a lot of cities, but their food criticism is ridiculous. SLC has a dozen, or more, great restaurants. That’s not as many as most big cities, but how many do you need when you visit?

If you’re looking to party, like the rest of the quote implied, it probably is boring.
Shaq and Charles are old af. They don’t need to be partying anymore. Enjoy the nice views and fresh air assholes.

SLC sucks. Don’t move there. Don’t ever come to Utah. It is awful. Stay in New Orleans.
Well done sir, well done.

The Bass family (who are family friends) had a huge parcel of land in the Wasatch Mountains. Used to stay in SLC and go onto the property with some members of the Bass family.
It was not boring - lots of water (for that area) and incredible terrain. In the winter, heli-skiing was an option.
I could see city residents being restless in SLC.

SLC has some weird liquor laws but it's much, much better than it was 20yrs ago. Definitely not a party city but it's not a total wasteland either. Oddly enough, some of the best mole that I've ever had was in SLC at the Red Iguana.

That’s some of the best skiing in the world, warm weather activities are great too, Bass family from Ft. Worth?

Yes. The ranch had about 12000 acres but no improvements of any kind. It was rugged, and included a bunch of peaks. It was a badass place. I hated that they sold it.

I used to work with Beverly, if you know her

Not exactly going to be preferred by NBA players.
