Valter's Osteria is a really good restaurant in SLC.

Odd comment by Chuck/Shaq because when you walk in to the restaurant there are photos on the walls of every famous NBA player/coach imaginable that has dined there.

SLC sucks. Don’t move there. Don’t ever come to Utah. It is awful. Stay in New Orleans.

This

Utah is awful and the crime is worse than NOLA. Nobody should move there

Nothing wrong with SLC I always felt safe when traveling and working there. Its a beautiful place and one of the top places I would consider if I ever decided to relocate.

Ha!

I moved to Utah from the Westbank and deeply regret it every day.

Heed this warning: stay where u iz. The whitecapped mountains are repulsive.

One of the prettiest things I ever saw was before the sun come up from behind the Wasatch mountains the fresh snow on the snowcapped mountains glowed like a fluorescent light. I was just south of SLC in a town called Orem when I got to experience that.

Or the BYU football stadium set right against the mountains. I bet it's unreal sitting in that stadium for a game. I also made it out to Sundance while I was there, and the drive there was like something you'd see on a postcard.

If you’re looking to party,

It all depends on how you define party and if you plan to remember it in the morning.

If a young man returning from his two year mission starts telling you, on the plane, about how he really has missed his family and the Grandfathers he is so thankful he'll see in less than an hour doesn't move you, nothing will. I remember holding back so I could watch his reunion. It was lovely and inspiring.

I’ve been a few times and it is boring - you used to have to buy a membership aka cover to drink liquor or access late night bars.

I was surprised by the crime rate after growing up watching COPS. SLC has some rough arse areas and the violent and property crime rates are above the national average. SLC crime is on par with Portland & Charlotte.

I live here and sure there’s some crime, but it feels a thousand percent safer than the other cities I’ve lived in: Columbus, Cincinnati, Boston, New Orleans.

Just my 2 cents.

I always think that same thing every time whenever I fly by the stadium on our approach into SLC.

So you don’t besmirch the stadium?

Boring if your free time primarily revolves around drinking and eating at restaurants which is indeed most people. Amazing place if you value a full night of sleep over staying out and drinking to go do something in the mountains whether it be ski, hike, kayak, backpack, climb, etc. No one has mentioned air quality which is one of the biggest issues there due to inversion

No... No besmirching

I have always liked BYU. We play them this coming season but not sure if its a home or away. LaVell Edwards is one of my all time favorite coaches that I look back on. He would take on anyone that would schedule them
