Mine was torture. Looked at the Passed List, didn't see my name. I was sick. Then I looked at the Failed List, didn't see my name. I was confused. I was in the other list. I had passed the bar but something was up with my application so I had to contact the bar and get it straightened out before I could be admitted.

I did the same thing! It turned out I was looking at the results from the previous examination, and the results from my testing date wouldn’t be online for a few more days. I felt like Cartman waiting for the new Nintendo Wii to come out.

I was engaged to a woman at the time and in those pre-cell phone days, she was supposed to call me at the hotel the night before day 2. She didnt call and did not answer at home. No clue if she was dead on the road or out with Jody.

I was a total mess and finally got her on a payphone as they were ushering us into the convention center.

I passed the test and passed on her.

I took Mississippi’s right after. The Mississippi Bar was harder imo
What year did you take MS?

I took it in 2013 and thought it was a cakewalk compared to Louisiana. MS was all 1 or 2 paragraph questions, no hide the ball, pretty straightforward. Although I loathed the MBE.

Flash forward to 2015-present, they're screwing over test takers big time (asking questions about people not even in the hypo, for example). Bar passage rate in MS has been tanking recently.

It was horrible, miserable, and horrendous. And then I got heavy sick by day two of testing.

If I hadn’t passed the first time, I probably would never take it again.

We went to Bern's for steak and then just a couple drinks. I was drained as well, then I went home and didn't do anything for the next week or so

And he did

idk I took it over 7 years ago.

The MBE part was easy for me (multiple choice common law). I destroyed that section.

The Mississippi essays were hard. You were expected to memorize the numbers to code articles and statutes.

Just don’t be the guy my friends ran into right after day one at the hotel bar who’d literally done so poorly that morning, he’d not gone back to test after lunch. He was just staying for his hotel nights to just drink. Called it a round and figured he’d try in February.

But who knows. He probably didn’t study.

I’ll say this. There weren’t but a couple surprises. What you cover in bar prep is what’s there. If you studied, just go in and do your thing. Put it out your mind when you’re done because it’s done.

Took my bar exam at the old Civic Center in BR also over 15 years ago. I remember going to take a piss break after about 30 minutes into Code III and see my roommate/classmate outside catching a tan on one of the concrete benches. I go ask him what's up and he says "piece of cake, I'm done". Needless to say he failed and retook the bar in Feb.

About 3 weeks before the exam I started freaking out b/c I hadn't even cracked a book for business (3rd test of the day on Wed.) and that section contained the most material by far. I decided that I was just going to skip that test and focus on the other 8. So after my 2nd test on Wed., I bailed and went to watch a movie, then started reviewing for Friday that night.

Was sweating bullets on the day the results were posted, but I passed. Guess the gamble paid off. Went out for a celebratory lunch w/ some other classmates, but my roommate who failed and was completely hammered decided he wanted to come w/ us, so it wasn't all that celebratory - lol.

I thought the worst was over when I passed the BAR exam, but I was in for a rude awakening from a little organization called LAP.

I remember the instructor yelling at people who brought their own food. Had to get those nachos from the vendor at the Pontchtrain Center.
