Several decades ago today I took my first bar examination.
Good luck to all those taking it today.
All I remember is that it was grueling. We took it somewhere out on Airline Highway.

I don’t remember taking the Bar exam

I took the PE. Not sure how it compares to the bar, but I'd have hated to have a multi day exam like you poor bastards.

LSU.
It was so long ago that the only law we had was the Ten Commandments. Moses was my professor.

I knew there had to be a reason my stomach was in knots this morning. Possibly the worst week of my life, but only had to take it once.
We took it in the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, which is conveniently across the street from the casino.
Good luck to all you young OTer's taking it.

Me too. Then I also took it in another state.

Downtown Baton Rouge at the old civic center for me

Ugh, I took mine in Gonzales. Had a 3 month old baby in the hotel room with me. Quite possibly the worst week of my life.
Good luck everyone and it's still not to late to run like hell from this profession.

I didn't realize the LA one started today.
Taking the MA one next week....it's been a rough summer.

When you over bill your clients, once to put a stamp on the envelope and mail it, it becomes a felony.

Is Massachusetts a UBE jurisdiction? I absolutely despised the MPTs.

It is. I'll be doing practice MPTs all week.

I didn't feel that stressed/tired after day 1, but I was passed out cold in a car within 10 minutes of getting picked up from the test site. Very weird, I've never had that happen before or since.
Day 2 I was just ready to finish. The MBE was less stressful than state-specific but man it was way more grueling than I thought it would be. Knowing you're a few hours away from a wild night out certainly factors in.

You are a braver man than I. Only way I take another state's bar exam is if I get my Louisiana license revoked or I am banned from the state by JBE.

That sucks. The task isn't necessarily hard or overly difficult; however, thoroughly reading and completing the task in the allotted time (90 minutes, right?) is a bitch.
