fricking miserable. River Center in EBR. On Friday after (presumably) tanking Fed J, I went home, cracked a beer, took my laptop apart, and cleaned each component to clear my head.
Fortunately only had to go through it once.

I took the Georgia bar four years ago...they had it at a conference center right next to the busiest airport in the world, smart
luckily I wasn't one of the 90 people that year who were told they failed when actually they passed (and weren't told they actually passed for like a year after)

TX (5-year rule ftw).
Good plan. If you actually decide to practice in Texas state court, watch the procedure. Lots of traps for the unwary.

well as of now it's mostly just to have a launchpad, but i'd likely mostly concentrate on criminal
i have done civil stuff in TX. those TX insurance companies get bamboozled here in Calcasieu sometimes b/c they don't realize the differences eastward. like the direct action option alone blows their mind.

Took it in Tampa Florida for the FL bar. FL test had morning of essays and then afternoon of first day was FL law if i recall.
2nd day was MBE in morning and afternoon
I recall not being able to sleep before first night, feeling really good after the Florida section. Went into day 2, and there are something like 8 versions of the test with the same questions just different numbers. In the morning session, i took to the last possible minute, something I had never had to do on any practice tests. Thought I had failed for sure based on that morning. Went back in the afternoon and found the 2nd part much easier for me.
The scariest part was going in on the morning of day 2 and seeing a pink slip of paper on my table. That was the slip that got you thrown out for cheating etc. Mine was because my fingerprints had smudged out and they needed me to redo it
Man was i freaking out

I remember speaking to a guy during a lunch break on the first day of the bar exam and he laid out his strategy for passing. Since there were nine parts and he only needed to pass seven, he decided he could get the seven he needed by skipping the first test given on Wed (LA Procedure ?) and Fri (Con Law?). He reasoned that he could stay up later to study on Tuesday and Thursday, sleeping in later for Wed and Fri to have more stamina.
Three years later he finally passed. I saw him on a billboard the other day.

Good luck to all those taking it today.
I hope they all fail and move on to more productive careers. The world needs lawyers but it doesn’t need any new ones for a long time.

my brain exploded when i read the following hypo on the bar: "lester polyester made many mortis causa donations during his lifetime."
i'm still not sure if they were trying to be cute or simply wrote mortis causa but meant intervivos

I remember the business associations portion being completely different from all previous versions. I went in having no idea it had changed. Nothing I studied for that section was on there and I completely bombed it. The rest of the bar exam really wasn’t too terrible, but that scared the ever-living crap out of me. It was like a waking nightmare. I maybe spent an hour just guessing at stuff before I gave up and turned it in so I could focus on the coming sections. I still passed, but that one exam completely rattled me.

one of my classmates' family decided to take their annual beach vacation the week of the exam. she figured out that passing everything let her cut out early Friday and go to the beach. i think she took all sections the following time.

I took it in the Superdome in one of those big rooms that they hold events in. One session it rained hard and the lights went out and the ceiling rained down on one table hard. Luckily it wasn't my table.

BARBRI told us over and over that mortgages had never been tested. Twenty plus years they had been doing it. Never. Don’t study it.
40 point mortgage ranking question. I literally invented what I thought the law should be, wrote it down, and then applied my invented law.
It’s my one regret about passing: I have no idea what I got on that exam

Took AL bar last summer in Birmingham at the BJCC (passed). On the first day (MPT and MEE’s), the roof started leaking during the afternoon portion. Water was hitting people’s keyboards, proctors were having to relocate people left and right, and girls were legit freaking out and crying. Absolute disaster.

lynyrd skynyrd was on the way to Baton Rouge when they crashed, so their "comeback" tour started here on Friday night after the bar exam in 1991. they had an extended, and loud, sound check in the building next door during the Friday exam.

The torts section my year was completely different than previous versions. When I started, I looked at the page for 5-10 minutes before I was able to compose myself and identify that they had worked in a conflict of laws scenario.

i need to take the MPRE again so i can get licensed in TX (5-year rule ftw). the plan is to theoretically use TX to jump off, b/c LA has reciprocity issues.
I wanted to do this to waive into MS but apparently your primary office has to be in TX to do this.
