I left the last days exam and the first stop I made was at the New Orleans Daiquiri in Kenner. Downed my 32oz house special with an extra shot and took me a power nap. Went on a weekend bender on bourbon street.

About a year and one week from now, I will be sitting down to take the Alabama bar exam.

i will never forget being in the subway by the ponch center (100% populated by bar takers) giving motivational speeches to them to not quit before the last test (federal). i was talking with a non-rando guy i knew from LS and was like "minimum contacts man, bockrath shite. you can do this"

Still remember the first essay out the gate on the California bar (also several decades ago). Some stupid waste management contract that ended up being a torts question. Thought to myself, oh well, you're fricked.

Unfortunately, passed that and Louisiana less than a year later and here I am today. Yay!

Went to law school out of state and took the NC bar exam first. Took the full BarBri course for that. Then just bought the books for Louisiana and studied those.

I thought the Louisiana exam was so much easier. Plus, for the NC bar exam we had to have special ids made which contained our photos and our finger prints. Had to have them on the table during all the days of testing and we would get randomly checked during the day. When I showed up for the Louisiana one, they checked my driver's license at the door and then never checked it again. You could come and go with no one caring. I know some serious cheating went on.

Took the CSP exam, and it was tough. I know it is no Bar, but it took a lot out of me.

I’ve been barred in MS for three years and took the LA bar last year (passed).

At the LA bar, I sat beside a lady with a strong country twang. It turns out she was from Mississippi too. She was taking the LA bar because she couldn't pass the MS bar in four attempts and thought doing something new might lead to some success.

I remember a professor telling me to think of it as winning a Presidential election. Much like in an election, the candidates really focus their time and attention on the big states (Florida, Texas, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania). As an applicant, focus your time and attention on the big-topic subjects (Negligence, Hearsay, 4th and 5th Amendment, etc.)

I opened up my test booklet, and my first essay was solely based on some obscure, local URLTA question that I spent maybe 15 minutes reviewing. My response was identical to this: LINK

It worked out well in the end though.

The proctors removed someone from my exam room the final day due to "cheating". Never did see his name in the LSBA membership directory.

i need to take the MPRE again so i can get licensed in TX (5-year rule ftw). the plan is to theoretically use TX to jump off, b/c LA has reciprocity issues.
