And will be able to vote as a high school freshman.

Just as the Democratic plantation owners want.

Simple solution to that, lower the standards. Problem fixed.

That's what will happen.

You can clearly see she was really involved in his education

My kid's school has an app and every grade he gets pops up with an alert, I get 3-4 a day and when he f's up we fix it when he gets home. When he gets A's/B's we fist bump but I know every thing that's going on.

This means EVEN more money needs to be pumped into those schools because it’s clearly not enough and a problem that can only be solved by more money.

Teaching inner city blacks is near impossible. They have absolutely zero drive to learn or succeed due to their upbringing and culture

Noooo. It’s systemic racism, duh.

Wait.... what do you mean 2-4th generation African American immigrants outperform US origin African Americans despite also being born and raised in the “oppressive and racist system”?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

We just need a little more funding and some more computers in the classroom

George Carlin - "no child left behind, no child left behind, seems like not long ago we were giving kids a head start..head start left behind, it sounds like someone is losing fricking ground!"

Reminds me of High School High where the inner city kids go to their graduation and the four main ones are announced as graduating... and the camera pulls back to show they are the ONLY ones graduating.

She probably thought everything was cool when the fricking school kept passing him to the next grade.

She actually said in the article that she knew he was failing everything but thought it was okay because the school passed him to the next grade. She knew. She just didn't care. That is, she didn't care until it negatively impacted her. The kid also had 270+ absences.

I would hope they have a shop class to teach some auto repair, body work, welding, in his school. Honestly he would probably do better dropping out and just getting an apprenticeship.

While true, this could change overnight if the parents actually took an interest in what was going on in their kids lives, and participated with them.

But let's blame whitey and the school. It's just easier that way.

I've done it before on this board, and I will do it again. I am a big time advocate for career tech and vocational programs in public schools. It is a great option for many students, yet it gets shite on far too often. It gets funding slashed and programs cut. Yet, we constantly push kids who have no business being in them towards Advanced Diploma programs and such. It makes no sense.

As we dig deeper into her son’s records, we can see in his first three years at Augusta Fells, he failed 22 classes and was late or absent 272 days.

Walker high has steadily expanded their programs like this.

Something like that doesn’t “change overnight”

They never lost their accreditation although they probably should have.
