Dr. Sonja Santelises was the City Schools CEO four years ago when France’s son was a freshman. But she will not interview with FOX45 News. Instead, we received a two-page statement, which explains what should happen when a student is chronically absent or failing.

Education Bachelor's degree from Brown University;
Masters degree from Columbia University;
doctorate from Harvard University
Ivy League education in education doesn’t mean much. I wonder if she got promoted through college same way this kid was done through first 3 years of high school.

Santelises became the CEO of Baltimore City Public Schools in July 2016, replacing Gregory Thornton, who was ousted by the school board. She has advocated for improving the curriculum as a way to help close the achievement gap, and has conducted audits to find out where students are receiving gaps in their education. She has advocated for literacy programs and stopping teacher layoffs.
Seems like she cut some corners with her audits.

While true, this could change overnight if the parents actually took an interest in what was going on in their kids lives, and participated with them.
Yes, but overall it’s a generational problem that mostly began with LBJ and his Great Society.

This must be some kind of black comedy movie script, amirite?

How in the hell did this woman not know how her son was doing in school.
Maybe if a few of these black households had a mother and father in the picture they could actually raise the kid and monitor their education. Crazy concept.
The biggest culprit in the struggle of black people in the US? Black males.
But instead, we'll claim racism and adjust the grading scale so that student has straight As.

She actually said in the article that she knew he was failing everything but thought it was okay because the school passed him to the next grade. She knew. She just didn't care. That is, she didn't care until it negatively impacted her. The kid also had 270+ absences.
This was a solid argument on her behalf. If you “fail” all 9th grade classes and move to 10th, did you really fail? The kid proceeds to successfully fail 10th and 11th too. It’s not unreasonable to believe he’d fail into graduation....then they head fake him and said he’s got to start 9th grade again.

Who is having unprotected sex with them?
Who is raising them?

Not the black fathers and that’s the damn problem but I’m racist for saying that because I’m white. Facts don’t give a shite about your feelings.

Wait.... what do you mean 2-4th generation African American immigrants outperform US origin African Americans despite also being born and raised in the “oppressive and racist system”?
BINGO. I'd love to hear someone try and explain why this is. If "systemic racism" exists, black immigrants should succeed at the same level as black US citizens. Yet they don't...
Maybe, just maybe, it's black culture? Learned and incentivized helplessness?

My kid's school has an app and every grade he gets pops up with an alert, I get 3-4 a day and when he f's up we fix it when he gets home. When he gets A's/B's we fist bump but I know every thing that's going on
I had a meeting with a student's mom about her son failing my class after the first 6 weeks. She said she didn't know so I let her know about our system that she has access too and she can check daily, get text alerts, or get an email. I called again at the 12 week mark to let her know he was still failing and she said she didn't know. I asked her if she had signed up for the system and she responded "I had to turn the damn thing off. I was getting too many alerts every day"

Correct, black women are raising them. Black women are choosing their fathers. Everyone knows the statistics on the rate at which black fathers are absent in their children's lives, but nobody talks about the degree to which that is perpetuated by black women.

More and more people now realize that this is exactly what the Dem Party wants. That's why they planned it this way.

Public schools in America are largely considered to be baby sitters for working parents or those who just don’t give a shite. Most parents don’t want to manage the growth of their children and rely upon government to do it.

Fair. I would assume most black people know how babies are made, so plenty of blame for the women too, but perhaps they are convinced by the man impregnating them they're "different".

That's why crime stats and underachieving in the black community are considered racist anytime they are brought up.

And they've been conditioned to think that's perfectly normal and they deserve it, along with the money they receive every month for pumping that kid out.
