can only imagine the weird, depraved shite old Natchez money does to get their kicks behind closed doors.
I'd guess not any worse than old New Orleans.
And the only thing that linked House has going for it is the view. The interior is Rooms to Go.

The Pig Out Inn, I would assume. The food is pretty solid.

It's all pretty atrocious. It's not even an old house. I like how they have mo exterior pics of the actual place.

The master bedroom has freaking fluorescent lights (not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 FLUORESCENT LIGHTS!!!!!) above the bed and no fan. Couldn not, would not own. Granted that is not hard to take care of and if buying a $1mm house you should have the funds to at least do a little remodeling. But no telling what other weird / stupid shite they did to that house.

That's a B&B. That would be way to go. Buy one of those and live in it.
And Weymouth Hall is Much More Ballerer.
prob best view of the River. Up next to the National Cemetery.
Here's Pic I took before ex-sil wedding there.

Natchez is quaint and ideal for a lazy weekend, but you couldn't pay me enough to live there.

I don't know how much it would cost, but I think it would be wonderful to live in an old, historic town like Natchez, Vicksburg, or Natchitoches in an old house along the river.

Natchitoches used to be a cool little town. It is slowly becoming a shite hole.

I had always wondered what the view would be from that house when crossing the bridge, so thanks for the link. Crazy to compare what you get for that same price in Seattle. Hint: much smaller, much lower finish quality, much smaller lot, no view. As a previous poster noted, significant imvestment in hillside stablization...probably much more than the house is worth.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Any of you posters know anyone in the 25-40 age range that lives in Natchez? Do people move there or move back after college? Seems like a death trap for a single person. Only hope is going down to Baton Rouge on weekends.

There are young people there. If you have a professional degree (I.e. Law, medicine, engineering, etc.) and a contact or two you can make a good living in Natchez. The private schools are decent.
The singles definitely have it rough, though. There aren't just loads of fine women running around or places to meet them. And if you're not from Natchez it can be tough to break into the higher class cliques.

ta, if the taxpayers hadn't bailed them out paid for the concrete stabilization then those houses wouldn't be worth jack shite now. If fact, they'd probably be halfway down said bluff.
Well said.
Pessimistic me adds: the government contracted out the stabilization to the lowest bidder on gov. specs. You trust that kind of decision making with your life and future?

Pig Out Inn?
Wife's family is from there and you couldn't pay me to live there. Nice to visit, but not to live.

It amazes me how small some people’s worlds are. I guess even the trashy have dreams tho.

I grew up there and know several people that grew up there that have come back. Most that come back are in family businesses or have started their own companies. The rest are bartenders and waiters.

You got that right. If you see a good looking chick there that’s single, she’s probably lying. Most every guy I know there that’s married brought his girl back with him. The girls usually don’t come back once they leave.

Weymouth Hall.
