We have 120 people in office. The admin wants to have it in January because it’s easier to plan. So no one goes to ours

Just make up some excuse for something your kids have. Put it on them. People are less likely to ask questions or give you a hard time if it involves your kids.

If you have kids they generally can provide an easy excuse. If not, "I had diarrhea all day" is one nobody generally questions

Mine is tonight too and I’m not going. My excuse is today is my last day. Figured it would be a little awkward to attend.
