If I had an ugly wife, I wouldn’t want my coworkers to see her either

When I managed a shop, we had the Christmas party on company time, during the last afternoon before the holiday. We shut down work, brought in ton of food and booze, everybody had a great time, and they were on the clock. That's how you have an office party that helps morale, rather than one that's yet another holiday obligation.

I'm missing mine to go to the SECCG... Guess that would be a suspect excuse for an Arkansas fan.

wife's company does this on most Fridays, they are over the top for their Christmas party, spent around $700k last year on it, still don't particularly like to go

I wish! App is all polished up with a few LORs attached to it. Had a buddy that's in training right now tell me that hiring is ramping way up after the first and it should be a matter of time before I get a call. Hope he's right.

he is, they asked the training department if we could accommodate double the projected hiring for 2020, we told them the best we can do is 150%, roughly 1500, that coupled with some big time attrition kicking in

Yeah, 1500 is the number all my buddies that are there have been telling me. With the Majority of the off the street folks coming from a military background(bodes well for me). I've got a ton of gouge for y'all's interview process that I've been looking over in my spare time.

Legitimate conflicts with kids.

I might actually thank my kids for once for making me drive all over town on weeknights.

Ours are mandatory, which I always laugh about because no one would go if it wasn't. With that said, I haven't been to one in 3 years for various conflicts, and we aren't having one this year.

For our company it's just an opportunity for the CEO to talk about how great he is, and he's not, so I don't want to hear it.
