Canada really took a toll on back the blue. They turned on the people who supported them through BLM and Antifa and Muslim radical attacks. Add Jan 6 to that and people are more likely to back away from the blue now with a cautious eye.

If anyone has ever watched UK crime shows, "CCTV" is basically the magic used almost EVERY time to catch the criminals.
The amount of CCTV cameras around London a decade ago when I was there was amazing, I can’t imagine what it’s like now

Massive drone over Eve parade route in Mandeville Fri night before it started. What Mandy PD worried about?

I assume it would be people who see giving access to the police as an asset but I am curious as well. It may also be some of the security services that rent cameras as part of their security systems?
That’s how it works for most of the “private” cameras. Bars and other businesses already have decent equipment in place and just allows the city to tap into them. I believe it’s how a lot of the Bourbon Street network is tied into the NOLA camera system.

General warrants seem to be back in vogue.

Sweet tats, bro
The few cops I know with sleeve tats like that all wanted to be special forces, couldn't hack it in the army so they all went in the reserves or NG then later on became a deputy.

“You see this elephant? It’s the Hindu god Ganesha. It symbolizes the struggles I overcame during boot. I was top of the class and selected to be a green beret but I tweaked my rotor cuff and had to drop. So, here I am.

They obviously aren’t using these systems to try and prevent crimes based on the increases across the country. Waste of tax dollars if you ask me.

"Y'all" had control and did diddlyfrick. It's a uniparty system, and anyone who uses "us" and "them" in the context of Republican and Democrat is fooling themselves. They all work for themselves and special interests. You don't matter to them except every few years.

Judas Priest saw this coming in 1982. Check out the lyrics to Electric Eye. I believe London is the most heavily surveiled city in the world.

The reality is an algorithm(s) filtering all the images.
Yep

How those algorithms work is were the abuse of rights will be ignored or trampled.
I fail to see where the working of an algorithm are an issue so long as they are used on legally obtained images and do not automatically execute any actions based other than signally the need for a human to evaluate the images.
But there are disturbing possibilities here.

Why? In what way did this affect you and in what way would your life be better if they catch someone that left black marks in intersections but to do so they have to spy on everyone?
Maybe so they won't also do it on the middle of a major highway/interstate

You can not say this:
Then also say this when referring to Trump's Presidency:
Trump was an outsider and there were a lot of people within the GOP who were unwilling to work with him when he was President, and now even more unwilling to work with him now that he's out of office.

I'm convinced Youngsville built stuff in the roundabouts just to have a place to mount and hide the cameras.

I walked by a policeman in the grocery store last week and he told me hello, I kept my eyes straight ahead and did not say a word.

The good ole days are over.
But this started as soon as smartphones became available. Anywhere you go that has a lot of people, there is always people taking pictures. You never know how many pictures you could be in the background in.
But it is interesting that Lafayette has this.
