I don't see where one is better than the other.

Congratulations on your first car with a rear camera

Not if you're going to have a buggy full of stuff you need to put in the back of your vehicle.
Other than that instance, it's efficiency is 2nd only to pulling through.

If no one else will be delayed by your parking, then do whatever floats your boat.
If someone has to wait for you to back into a space, then you are an inconsiderate SOB.

You have company with this crazy batch I dated years ago who worked for Dominion Power.
I asked her, why do you insist on backing into every parking spot, including your garage? She told me they tell you to do so in case of a large scale power outage or other incident. Something about saving time it takes to get to the office.
I'm like, "but you are in HR".

That’s essentially the same thing as what OP is saying

We have to wait for you to back in when you could just quickly pull In.
I don't give a shite if you have to wait 5 extra seconds for me to back in. Meanwhile, your clearly impatient arse, will whip right in, park all fricked up so no one can even utilize the spot next to you. Now they have to search for another spot. Who's the bigger inconvenience here? Go through any parking lot and at least half the forward parked cars are shite park jobs. The backed in park jobs are probably around 90% plus perfectly parked.

I have literally never seen someone take less time to back into a space than it takes someone to back out of a parking space (old Asians don’t count)
If I’m behind you in a busy parking lot, I’m not letting you back into a space.

Is this why people back into parking spots, they don't actually know how to pull in correctly?
I've always wondered.

It is easier to get your car straight and aligned when backing in, particularly in a full parking lot. It’s also safer when leaving.
For a board full of supposed men, I’m surprised this is actually a debate.

Are you a black guy with expired tags?

Maybe if you don’t know how to drive a car

Ok, while we wait for you to go back and forth 3 times holding up the rest of us waiting to park, but ok. We just patiently, almost patiently wait for you. If no one is impeded while you go back and forth then I don't care. However if we have formed a line waiting on your back up skills to come alive then it's annoying.

In my truck yes. In my wife’s SUV, never (causes issues sometimes opening the back hatch).

Why does everyone care so much?
I have a company vehicle and am therefore REQUIRED to back in.

Back in/back out, what’s the difference? Still have to back out either way.

As is pulling out. Saves a lot of drama.
