Lets not forget about all the pregnant LP teen girls naming their kids after character s from the Twilight Saga.

Most of those names are fairly normal based on my limited knowledge

True, ultimately just go with what you like. That's why we went with Katniss Everdeen

Guarantee you there is some poor little toddler out there named Katnyss Yverdeen

There's probably a lee or leigh somewhere in there too. Katnyssleigh

Here is our test: does it work as a little kid, a teenager, and as a CEO?

This was my exact thinking.

Just had a daughter 2 months ago, and while thinking of names I asked myself "How would that name sound as a 30, 40, 50 year old..."

We went with a classic name, not extremely common these days but works very well.

dude...Brynlee is a terrible name.

Wait, someone really said "you should try to get out more" for thinking the name Brynlee is awful?

Holy fricking mackerel!

That was how my folks chose my name.

My grandad's name is Woodburne, don't know if I can submit a potential son of mine to that name.

My grandpa's name was Durwood. Luckily we found a name we liked a little further up in my family tree.

I know someone who named their son Brees recently. While I don't think it's trashy, it just doesn't sound like a good name.

that's my csb

For a potential girl I was pushing hard for Gertrude ("Gertie") but no luck. People don't appreciate the classics.

Classic names are the way to go. The name needs to have a meaning and not that you think it sounds cool.

We didn't want to pick one out of mid air, but trying to keep it all family or meaningful was kind of restricting. The first name we just like. Middle will be a family name.
