I know you're trolling, but it's FruityLoops, now called FL Studio.

And it does not generate songs for you.

That is called talent by a lot of the dance music fans.

They have a program called fruit loops that makes songs for them

Haha. I remember scoring a copy of that program years ago. As an EDM fan I was all excited to make my own shite.

I spent a few hours on it before realizing I'm not cut out as an EDM artist.

I think everyone who enjoys EDM has done that at least once. I know I have

Well when youre a dj now and you start your set at a festival, you usually have to press play for the music to start. That intro song they will usually let play out for the crowd because it might be popular that everyone wants to hear. It might be 2 minutes before he starts mixing in the next song, or longer.

Festivals also arent a great indicator of dj talent. Clubs are better for watching talent. He also plays music where you let the songs play out longer than other types of edm.

Headphones being on 1 ear is standard protocol

I think it isn't too different than classical music composers. They typically didn't perform their own music either. They wrote it and arranged it then essentially "pressed play." Though the idea of a DJ performance does seem a little weird to me too.

EDM Musicians are more like painters or actors(movie) in that they record their work to a media that's to be enjoyed when it's finalized.

Stumbled across this looking to see who did vocals on Hey Brother... didn't know it was the guy who did Man of Constant Sorrow on Hey Brother Where Art Thou.

He talks about how he ended up doing the Avicci song

Because of media bias you never hear about all the times it goes great. Just keep drinking in the propaganda.
