Thanks. Alabama’s median salary is 64,500;
It’s mean salary is 46,400
Considering minimum wage to $10 an hour is the entry level for many jobs, families must be working more than one job or shift and folks doing the survey figured out a way to capture supplemental income.

I wonder why MS is the lowest? Hmmm, it couldn’t be that no one in the Delta works. No, it couldn’t be that.

Is that all combined incomes? If not, I make Arkansas average by myself and the gf makes more than I do

I'm doing well in 38 states as a single income household. I'll take it.

It’s because you either work on a logging truck or at a gas station

Not at all, everyone puts their pants on the same way in the morning. I'm no different or better than anyone else. Thought that was the point of the thread? Guess not.

After the GF graduates, we would be 4 times the average of our state. After we factor in student loans, we’ll probably be below average

We do most of that in Alabama at $130k/year. Well, we take a big vacation every year.
Though life is going to change soon when the $1600/month of daycare costs go away.

Interesting.
Turns out I'm a straight baller.
Sucks to be average I guess.
